Autograph letter signed from François-Victor Hugo to unidentified recipient, after 1855 July 17 Friday.

Hugo cannot find the new address of the recipient's brother, a Monsieur Montague, who had asked about the "affaire de Jersey." Asks that the recipient forward information he had received from Jersey concerning the attempted bribery of a Jersey policeman, George Henley. Also mentions that he has been correcting the proofs of Hamlet, which will appear the following month.
